Grab a cup of tea and meet me in our English Christmas kitchen! With fresh greenery, satin ribbon and delicious holiday cookies, it’s perfectly festive. Come and take a peek!

It’s day 3 of our Christmas home tours and it’s flying by! This is one of my all time favorite weeks of the year. I get to share bits of our holiday home with you. It’s a time that I find so much inspiration in the spaces and ideas that others are sharing. I hope you leave here feeling inspired as well! If you’re coming over from Evolution of Style, welcome! Isn’t Jenny’s home just beautiful? Today, I’m sharing our kitchen and breakfast nook. It’s a space that we spend a lot of time in as a family and one that I enjoy my morning coffee in each day. If you missed our classic & cozy living room tour, you can see that here.

I have long thought that our breakfast nook should be a very cozy spot. We have shared so many meals, conversations and laughs with friends and family. Many of the items in this room have been collected over time, and have a very English feel to them. It was an overcast day when I took these photos, so they’re not as bright as normal. I decided to leave them just as is, because it’s a great example of just how this room really looks on a normal winter day in Georgia.

Working with the colors and decor I already had in the space, I chose with a navy blue satin ribbon(similar to my Christmas foyer), real greenery and lots of vintage glass ornaments.

The cedar garland is from Lynch Creek Farm. They are my go-to for fresh green each year. The quality is fantastic and everything arrives quickly and fresh! I used 3M hooks and floral wire to secure it to the wall. I trimmed just a bit off one end to use as filler on my shelves. Be sure to check out my Instagram today to enter to win an item from Lynch Creek Farm for your own home!

Last week I received a new wooden cookie mold from Tuckamore Homestead. I’ll be sharing these cookies and molds on the blog next week. If you’ve never made speculaas, you’ll have to join me back her next week. They’re quite the Christmas treat!

Blogging all of my home decor can sometimes leave me with the pressure to change things from year to year. In a lot of ways I resist it. There are some things that have become traditions in our home and I look forward to doing each year. Adding fresh greenery to my breakfast nook shelves are just that, a tradition. Each year, I use leftover cedar clippings, because I just love it.

I have to switch out my antique and vintage copper due to a lack of space, but the greenery stays the same. Here’s a look at the same shelves last Christmas. Our English Inspired Christmas Kitchen - Sincerely, Marie Designs (10)

Just as I place cedar garland stems on my shelves, I hang a wreath over our range. It’s simple, yet festive. To change things us, I use different wreaths and ribbon. This year I’m using a faux cedar wreath that I purchased a couple of years ago from Target. I’m using the same navy satin ribbon tied in a double bow. I’ve never used blue in my Christmas decor in this room, but I’m loving the change that it’s brought! It works well with the existing decor colors and is a fun pop of color.

Our baking station stays the same throughout the year but it gets a work out during the holidays. We keep all of our mixing bowls, measuring cups and cookie cutters in these cabinets. It’s my favorite little corner!

How do you decorate your kitchen for the holidays? Do you include a Christmas tree? In the past I’ve considered including a skinny tree in the corner of our breakfast nook. Maybe one day! That’s is for today, friends. Make sure you stop by the next home on our list, A Stroll Thru Life. I just know Marty has something really special for you. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season and happy decorating!
